I want to do that but for my Dad. My Dad has loved Corvettes his whole life. My Dad has bought raffle tickets since he was 18 years old from this church about 100 miles away who has a pastor who restores classic cars and raffles them annually to generate revenue for the church. When he was 40 he won that lottery which that year happened to be for a 1963 Stingray in candy apple red.
Sadly 6 years later my Dad and stepmother divorced and he had to either pay her half of the value of the vehicle or sell it and split the proceeds. My Dad is a steelworker and didn't have $16k laying around to give her, so the car was unfortunately sold.
It is a dream of mine to replace that car for my Dad.
